10 years ago the PCT along the cliff below Sonora Peak, South of Sonora Pass, would be blocked with Snow in early June.
Now this bottleneck is clear of snow in late May or early June, rather than late June or early July as in previous decades. Nonetheless, for this poll I have categorized early, normal, and late thaws as being in May, June, and July respectively, more along the lines of previous norms than newly developing trends which have dominated the last decade.
