Spring Snow Trip Meiss Roadless Area March 2010: Showers to Round Top Lakes
Hey, I'm really sorry, but I have not put the rest of this series of snow backpacking videos up yet. I have snow shoed these routes many times, and the required information is available on our sister site, TahoetoWhitney.com, the trail guide.
Yeah, I have these videos "in the can," and we did snow-shoe up to Round Top Lake from Showers Lake, then back through the Carson Gap to the South Upper Truckee Trailhead in Meyers. It was an awesome Spring Snow-shoe "triangle" trip route.
Right now I am focusing on finishing the Summertime trail guide between Lake Tahoe and Mount Whitney. You know, the Pacific Crest Trail and Tahoe to Yosemite routes through the Northern Sierra Nevada down to Tuolumne Meadows in the Yosemite High Country.
Then we have the John Muir Trail down to Whitney, and a bunch of alternate routes and scrambles in addition to the main route.
All in good time. Then I will come back and complete the Winter and Spring snow shoe trip vidoes. Sorry, but my priority is focused on the long trails between Tahoe and Whitney.
But I do have another series of videos covering substantially the same route, but instead of looping around Showers Lake on the way up to Round Top Lake I go straight from Round Lake to Round Top Lake.
Ceck out this Series of Spring Snow Camping Videos.
This trip was made during March of 2010. The route was from the South Upper Truckee Trailhead to Carson Pass over three nights.
Happy routes, to all of you Winter and Spring travelers...
