Meiss Country Roadless Area Dog Hikers

I met Peter and Jason and their well-equipped and experienced trail dog at the overlook into Christmas Valley from the overlook on the unified Pacific Crest and Tahoe to Yosemite Trails just a bit South of Echo Summit on Highway 50.

Peter and Jacob with their trail dog heading towards South Echo Summit on the combined PCT TYT trail.

Peter, Jason, and Dog were finishing an in and out trip to Showers Lake from Echo Summit.

We kicked back and enjoyed the view and each other's company for a while.
