Backpacking out of the snow-filled Tahoe Basin I: To the Trailhead
After considering the weather, gear, food, and route issues I put together a kit suitable for the conditions and departed from Berkeley for the South Upper Truckee trail head on March 18, 2010.
This video is the first in a seven part backpacking series. It depicts the trip to the trailhead. At Four-Twenty on March 18 I entered the snow and began my trip. The next five videos are shot during the trip to Round Top from the South Upper Truckee, while the seventh is an after-trip analysis.
